I have over 20 years of classroom teaching experience and I am also a proud parent of three children.

One of my favorite things about teaching preschoolers is their imagination and enthusiasm when learning. Their creativity and unfiltered perspective can make everyday moments feel fresh.

It is hard to pick just one, but my favority children’s book is “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein. It teaches important life lessons about kindness, generosity, and love through a simple and touching story.

One thing every child should experience in preschool is learning through play. Play fosters the development of social skills, creativity, problem solving skills, language, and confidence.

My favorite classroom activity in preschool is storytime. I enjoy reading books with children because it fosters language development, imagination and a love of learning.

I hope children remember my classroom not just for what they learned, but for how they felt safe, respected, encouraged, and excited to learn.

I’m a teacher who loves the beach almost as much as I love my dog. So, my idea of a perfect day includes waves, wagging tails, and well-earned rest after a good beach day!

Also, my children attended school here at the former The Art of Growing Nursery School. It’s nice to be back!

My favorite way to spend time outside of school is unwinding at the beach with my family and dog in our happy place.

I’m most excited about the opportunity to help build a positive school culture from the ground up in our brand new school and create a welcoming classroom where students feel supported and inspired to learn.
